Students can unleash their creative flair through dance and drama performances, competitions, exhibitions and enrichment programs.
Students with particular interests and talents can participate in local and statewide activities in visual arts, music, dance and drama.
Extracurricular arts subjects
At Macarthur Girls, students have the opportunity to take part in a number of Arts related extracurricular activites.
Dance
Our school has a strong tradition of involvement in arange of Dance activities within the school and beyond. Each year students are able to audition for highly prized positions in the Junior and Senior Dance Ensembles. These ensembles perform at numerous events throughout the year such as Sydney West and State Dance Festivals and the Schools Spectacular. Students chosen make a committment to weekly before-school rehearsals and some costs associated with thir performances.
Drama
A number of Drama groups have recently been established and students are keen to involve themselves in a range of Drama activities. One highlight is the 'Drama under the Stars' performances that are held each semester
Music
Our school's instrumental groups are involved in assemblies and other school events and give students the opportunity to develop their musical skills
