At Macarthur Girls High School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs may include:

Our extra-curricular highlights
Leadership programs
The school offers students a variety of opportunities to enhance their leadership skills. The Ambassador program, Student Representative Council, Sports Council, Student Executive and Peer Support program all offer students the opportunity to develop their group facilitation skills as they work collaboratively to represent student voice, leading assemblies and presentations and coordinating and planning student activities. Students develop confidence, communication skills and recognise the importance of public service.

Sporting programs
With a focus on enhancing physical fitness and health, there are a number of sporting programs offered for students to develop skills in Badminton, Netball, soccer, basketball and touch football. Many students also participate in Mac Walkers and Runners, a program designed to offer students the opportunity to train with others in the morning before school. While developing physical fitness and aerobic skills, students also develop teamwork skills and prioritise their mental health with a fitness focus.

Creative and Performing Arts Programs
Whether it be developing musical skills in the school choir or the Guitar Ensemble, working behind the scenes in the Tech Crew or stepping out on stage in the dance and drama ensembles, students at Macarthur are offered a variety of opportunities to enhance their performance skills, both on and off the stage. Students have the opportunities to perform in a variety of school based events and Department of Education performances at Regional and State level. Students develop confidence, performance etiquette and presentation skills and collaboration as they bring their passion to the stage.
