Bell times
Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.
It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our front office.
2025 Bell Times - Terms 1, 2, 3 and 4
Early Dismissal Wednesday Week B at 1.25pm
The school structure at Macarthur Girls High school is a two week cycle, Week A and Week B. On Wednesday Week B, timetabled lessons for all students conclude at 1.25pm, that is after period 3. Permission will be granted to students to leave school early on Wednesday Week B. Parents will need to make transport and supervision arrangements for this day. The first Wednesday Week B for 2025 is 12th February.
Stage 6 Flexible learning - early leave and late arrival.
Students in Stage 6, Years 11 and 12, are given permission for a late start on alternate Mondays. This is due to the different patterns of study for students in these grades. On these days, students must arrive at school by the conclusion of period 1, 10.42am. Students will also have early leave each Wednesday afternoon. This provides Stage 6 students with time for independent study and research.
At times throughout the year, these flexible learning periods may be used by teachers for holding common assessment tasks and on these days, students are required to be at school for the whole school day.
Parent permission is required for any Stage 6 student to be able to sign in later or leave early on any given school day
